Bamboo is a quick-growing and renewable resource. Which means you are not hurting the environment by using it. Bamboo plantations significantly reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, maintain the top soil, thus helping to combat climate change. Great care is taken to ensure minimal waste and pollution in our harvesting process.
We scrutinize every part of our production, to make sure it is as eco-friendly as possible. That’s why cold compression method is used to make each plank, instead of other techniques which may harm the environment Waste materials are recycled to power the drying kilns, a patented bonding agent with near zero emissions is used and great care is taken to ensure that minimal harm is done to the environment . Moreover, all parts of the bamboo plant are used to produce a multitude of products.
It’s no wonder that our bamboo flooring has received recognition in Singapore and beyond.
LEED
No builders can consider their projects green enough without an endorsement from LEED. Highly respected as the prestigious benchmark to be attained in the building industry, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) provides a suite of standards for environmentally sustainable construction.
Widely adopted in the United States, Australia and Europe, LEED creates a comprehensive framework for assessing building performance and meeting sustainablitysustainability goals. It adopts a whole-building approach to sustainability and recognises performance in five key areas: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
Architects, real estate professionals, facility managers, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, construction managers, lenders and government officials have all used LEED to help transform the built environment to a sustainable one. Join our green movement by opting for eco-friendly bamboo flooring to grace your home.
Singapore Green Label
Too many times, unknowingly, we buy or consume products which are not environmentally friendly. The Singapore Green Label scheme helps identify products which have less undesirable effects on our environment.
Environment-friendly products, such as Styleline bamboo flooring, which meet eco standards and contribute to building a sustainable environment are awarded with the Singapore Green Label. An Advisory Committee comprising representatives from government, private sector organisations, academic institutions and statutory boards will decide if a consumer or industrial product satisfies the criteria set under the scheme.
Administered by Singapore Environment Council since 1999, the Singapore Green Label is recognised as a member of the international Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN).
